Members of the Serbian"Climate Forum" participated in a training on communication that has been held from 17-18 May 2012, in Belgrade. Ms. Slavica Nikolić, from the Faculty of technical Science, Novi Sad University, prepared and presented the lectures, and in the practical part she had the support of Ms Ružica Vranjković from The Serbian Broadcast Corporation.

With support of the Institute for Economic Promotion of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber and their Serbian partner in Pancevo the Centre for Environmental Improvement could identify a suitable trainer for this workshop.

On the first day of the training, participants have been introduced to different techniques needed for a successful communication and tools used for analysis of the communication needs and responses.

The second day began with an overview of the "do" and "do not" tips when one gives a statement or participates in a television discussion. After the first session, network members had the opportunity to present their organization in front of the camera and test their communication skills.

Some of the network members stressed out the need for development of communication strategy for "Climate Forum" in order to disseminate the information on CCA more effectively. Further discussions and brainstormings on this matter are planned for the future network meetings.
