          Montenegro Communication Training

From 11 - 12 April 2012 members of the Montenegrin network “Climate Response” participated in a communication training, which was organized by Montenegro Red Cross in their headquarter premises in Podgorica.

This training was held within the project "SEE Forum on Climate Change Adaptation" with the main purpose to strengthen network members in presenting their Climate Vulnerability Analysis to governmental stakeholders and the wider public and to give them some practical techniques for communication also in view of advocacy activities.

In cooperation with the Institute for Economic Promotion of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber and their Serbian partner in Pancevo (Serbia), Montenegro Red Cross identified a suitable trainer for this workshop. Prof. Dr. Slavica Nikolic presented what communication is about and how it can be effectively realized. Further contemporary trends in the field of communication were discussed with a special focus on PR.

The training was attended by the representatives of Montenegro Red Cross, NGO Ozone, NGO Agency for local democracy, the NGO CAZAS, the NGO Juventas, NGO Green home, University of Mediteran and the University of Donja Gorica. Representatives from the Montenegro Electric Enterprise and the Agency for Environmental Protection also contributed to the workshop.
