Through this project, the “South East European Forum on Climate Change Adaptation”, consisting of members of four national CSO networks, international, regional and national stakeholders, has been initiated.
The overall objective of this Forum is to enable a broad range of stakeholders - civil society actors, government authorities, international organizations, scientists and the Red Cross - to discuss climate change adaption and disaster risk reduction / preparedness issues. The Forum shall further sustain linkages between national, regional and international advocacy and awareness raising initiatives.
The Forum was established at the conference in Sutomore, Montenegro in June 2012. You can find the review of theconference here and many materials in our documents section. The central paper of the Forum is the Regional Climate Vulnerability Assessment synthesis Report which we recommend to you for information on the region.
The Forum met again in October 2012 for the conference in Zagreb, Croatia, entitled "Climate Change Adaptation in South East Europe". We offer you more information about the conference here, where you can also find all the materials related to the event. Special features of the event were the national Climate Vulnerability Assessments written in all four member countries of the SEE Forum, analysing climate vulnerability and adaptation options in their specific circumstances, as well as the presentation of the awareness-raising video produced by the Forum.
